I earned a BA in Anthropology from CSUN and graduated in 1971. I married a fellow CSUN accounting major in 1969. He began a successful career at Arthur Young and became a CPA, eventually an audit partner of Ernst & Young in Los Angeles. Our children were born in 1973 and 1981.
Our family highlight was my son's Bar Mitzvah in 1987 in Jerusalem at the Western Wall. We toured Israel and drove some in England and visited family in OH on that trip. We divorced in 1993 and my ex remarried to his high school sweetheart.
Other highlights include:
- Being a contestant on Jeopardy! 1974
- Learning to write and perform standup comedy 1978
- Selling one liners to Joan Rivers, Jay Thomas and other comedians and publications for public speakers
- Writing the 3 minute monologue with the National Winner of the Joan Rivers Look Alike contest
- 1989-1996 publishing the Laughter Prescription Newsletter dedicated to the healing power of humor
- 1992 being invited to co write a comedy album with Tom Dreesen
- 1993 speaking as part of the "Compassion and the Art of Medicine" series at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston TX
- An appearance on CNN-FN "Belly Laughs Are Good for the Bottom Line"
- 1996 spiritual awakening
- 2000 moved to Charlotte NC
- 2003 moved to Pt. Arthur TX
- 2004 moved to Scottsdale AZ
- 2007 became homeless in Phoenix and became a no kill animal shelter cat and small dog caretaker in exchange for a place to stay
2008 moved to Florence OR to present
